This week in english

This week in english class we finished are civil rights unit and then we started are mystery unit. for the civil rights unit we had to write three essays over three diffrent stories. i hope i got a good grade on it i must have because i wrote alot. Then we started are mystery unit i think im gonna like this unit because it seems a little more intersting and so far it has ben. on  friday we watched when a stranger calls it was not the remake but it was the original one. I honostley did not think it was scary but at the end it was suspensful. But for the most part it was kind of funny. We only have one week of school then its christmas break and i just want this week to go by as fast as possible. Hopefully we wont have school tomorow but we proabably will. Well thats all i can think of.

This week in english class

This week in english we continued to talk about civil rights, and diffretn kinds of people who have had there rights violated or taken away due to diffrent things. We watched a movie about and Italian Jew who was being held at a consentration camp with his son and wife. And he lies to his son so his son would not be afraid and so his son would stay calm. At the end of the movie the dad sacrifices his life so his son would live and so would his mom. It was interesting to watch the movie because the movie was spoken in foreighn languages so we had to watch the movie with english subtitles. At the end of the week we split up and read stories about gay rights and each group had a diffrent story. Mine was about these two gay men in the military who were having and affair and then someone found out they were gay and then they were kicked out of the military because of it. They were both good soldiers but the miltary has the dont ask dont tell policy so they had to be kicked out. Well that is all i have to say i hope i wrote enough.

Human Rights Blog

 In The chapters of night John it is a book about a slave named John Who escaped to the north were there was no slavery. While he was up noth he learned how to read and write but he thought how the slaves were being treated down south was wrong so he decided to go back down south and teach slaves how to read and write. But by doing this it was a very big risk because if he got caught teaching a slave how to read and write he could get killed, and also the person who he was teaching how to read and write could be beaten or killed. But john did eventually get caught and he got caught in a farm owned by a white man and that is when he had met a girl named sarrny.

The great debaters was a movie about a group of young african american students in texas who had joined a debate team. The coach of the debate team was denzel washington. The debate team traveled all around the world debating all around the united states debating other african american colleges. The team kept on winnig and winnig over and over again that they got to debate the university of harvard college which at the time was and all white college and they went there to debate them and won.

The mascot was a book about malcum x and about what he had ben through as a young child. And he often tried to be white and also wished he was white alot of times during his childhood. He wanted to be a lwayer but got discouarged after his teacher told him he could not become one because he was black and told him to be  a  carpenter because  he was good  with his hands.

This week in egnlish

this week in english we finished reading twelve angry men it wasnt a bad book it was just boring at some parts. After we finished the book we watched the movie on it then had a test over it i hope i did well. i think the movie helped me out on the test because it helped me understand the book. We didnt have class on wensday because we saw the play to kill a mocking bird. All the sophmores saw it because all the english 10 classes read the book. I thought the play was alright it got me out of 2 and a half periods. Well thats all i got to say.

this week  in english we started to read twelve angry men. Honosley i think its pretty boring its about this kid who is convicted of killing his father and the whole book its just the jury arguing. I think the kid is guilty but idk yet because we finish the book on monday. I am kinda interested in what happens.

This week in english class we finished reading to kill a mocking bird. Boo radley saves Jem and scout from mr. ewel. He stabs him in the back and carries jem home. After we finished reading the book we watched the movie. The movie helped me understand it better then we had a test.

English class

This week in english we continued to read the mocking bird. The book is staring to get more intersting to me thats a lot to say for me because im not much of a reader. I was suprised that Tom robbinson was found guilty. I thought atticus conviced the jury in belving he was not guilty but i guess not. Tom robbinson went to prison and was shot 17 times by guards. I think mr.ewell was the one who raped his daughter and his daughters scared to tell the truth. Well thats all i got to say for this week.

English this week...

In englsih class this week we have ben reading to kill a mocking bird. I have to admit the book is getting a little more interesting. The most intersting character i think is boo radley everyone else is boring if you ask me. But the more you read into the book youl find that boo is not that crazy and folded jems pants and sowed them. They make boo radley seem like a physco on the beginig but i have a feeling that something will be reviled about him later on. This week in english

This week in english i handed in my research project. I hope i got a good grade on it i did all i was supose to on it exept for it wasnt 4 pages it was 3 and just short of 4. but i dont think that will matter that much....hopefully. On wendsday we started to read this book called to kill a mocking bird. and so far the title has nothing to do with the story at all....at least so far. Mr.potter said we will find out when were done reading the book. the first chaper was pretty stupid i thought but now its kinda getting good....well thats all i got to say for this weeek so im out.

I was behind on friday but i got caught up today and now im all done and i am extremley glad and relived. but im glad i got it done and now its over with.......i really dont know what else to say........ohio sate won yesterday im waiting for them to play somebody good but a win is a win. English this week

This week in english we worked on are research projects and i am caught up with everything i just finished my outline and i hope i did it right because it took me along time. the typed outline is due on tuesday  and the entire project is due on 10/4/10 which is october 4th i got all the possible points so far and i hope i get a good grade on this. I really dont know what else to say.........i got my progress report on friday and everythigng is looking good for me exept  for biology.... ohio state won yesterday which isint a suprise....and thats all i got to say and i think its ben 15mins so.

This week in english

This week in english class we handed in are rough draft and final copy of are essays. Then we started are research projects right after that. At first i was mad because he gave us a research project right after and essay. But then i was kinda glad because we are getting the research project over with so i was ok with. I am doing my research project on the unabomber that was the most intersting topic that we had to choose from i thought. It is do in two weeks and all my work is up to date. I think i have ben typing for fifteen minutes so im abot to go eat because im hungry.

What i did in english this week

This week in english we read some poems and had to tell what they ment. I am not good at poems or finding the meaning of the poem so that wasnt that easy for me. Mr.potter assinged an essay over anything we wanted to write about and we had to make it five paragraphs long. The rough draft is due on monday but im not worried about it because i already finished it. But a while ago i forget i had to blog about what we did i english class this weeek so that is what im workin on right now. I did my essay on using cell phones while driving i think it should be illegal in all states because it is dangerous. This was the only thing i could think of and i thought it was a good topic to write about. I have ben writting for quite a long time now, and i think it has ben for 15minutes so thats it.
